It is going to be a required class so it will have a very heavy load. If our enrollment stays around 21000 then we will have 700-1500 students a quarter. It will cover sociology, anthropology and geography in very general terms. Our syllabus so far is Human Evolution Biological to Cultural Adaptation The move from hunting and gathering societies to a post industrial society Man's environmental impact Study one non west culture in depth This could change radically before the class is implemented. We currently have Earthquest and a customized HyperAtlas that we are going to try out. Is anyone doing something similar on such a large scale? And if they are how?
