I tried the same situation Tom Evans reported with ResEdit 2.1, to see if they'd fixed the bug yet. You won't believe what they've done... 2.1 displays dates in American format, regardless! That's right, my system is set to "Australian" (gritting of teeth) date format too, but ResEdit 2.1 seems to ignore that. I think that's stupid. I'm *sure* System 6.0.x includes routines that will parse dates as well as format them--why can't ResEdit use these?
