Summary: Who to boot MS-DOS from HD Message-ID: Date: 31 Jan 91 09:59:08 GMT Sender: news@incas.informatik.uni-kl.de (News System) Organization: FB Informatik - Uni Kaiserslautern Lines: 27 Nntp-Posting-Host: rhein.informatik.uni-kl.de Is there anywhere a 1986-WANG-Professional-Computer-Wizard who can tell me how to boot MS-DOS 3.3 from the HardDisc of this DOS-emulating machine? The "Wang Professional Computer" has 8086 CPU 640 KB Ram 32 KB Grafik-Ram and a 20 MB HD devided in 2 Partitions. It is no real DOS-Box but it can emulate BIOS/MSDOS. The first of the HD-Partitions (400KB) seems to be Wang-specific and obviously it is the only Partition to boot from. The only way I know to switch to the second partition (19.6 MB) is to use a program called "loadibm", which boots from a MS-DOS system-disk in DiskDrive A and then switches to the second partition. How can I use the second partition under MS-DOS without having to boot from discette? Please post replies or E-Mail to giese@rhein.informatik.uni-kl.de Many thanks in advance ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter Giese giese@rhein.informatik.uni-kl.de -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
