Message-ID: <1991Feb3.003021.28163@news.nd.edu> Date: 3 Feb 91 00:30:21 GMT Sender: news@news.nd.edu (USENET News System) Reply-To: mahesh@caradhras.cc.nd.edu (Mahesh Subramanya) Organization: Univ. of Notre Dame Lines: 33 Well, I successfully manages to toast two of my NeXTstations. "No Problem", i thought. "There is this wonderful program called BuildDisk", i thought. "I'll netboot my NeXTStations off a cube, and reinstall the system on the disk using BuildDisk", i thought. WRRRONGGG!!!! To my horror, there is no BLD.105, or anything even remotely close to that in /etc! Naturalment, BuildDisk choked magnificiently since even with the utmost in vim, vigour, and magnesium, it is plenty difficult to stuff 371057KB on a 102400KB disk..... In short, it didna work. So, How exactly does one go about reinstalling the system on a 105 MB disk? This is really a pretty important question since I need to install systems on about 10 "virgin" Quantum 105s. Or, am i missing something incredibly glaringly totally obvious (lie an app called Build_105MB_Disk??? Wouldn't be the first time!!) Thanx for any responses... -- ************************************************************************ Mahesh Subramanya INTERNET: mahesh@caradhras.cc.nd.edu Senior Analyst Office of University Computing NeXT: mahesh@numenor.next.nd.edu University of Notre Dame Voice: (219) 239-5600 x6421 Notre Dame, IN 46556 ************************************************************************
