Over the last several months, I've put a number of Type 1 fonts into /LocalLibrary/Fonts, with uniformly good results. However, today I tried putting in two Type 3 fonts (evidently generated with Fontographer 2.3 on the Mac). They worked beautifully ... the first time. However, after that, they complain that they can't find Aldus's PostScript dictionary. I figure I'm running into Display PostScript's shared VM--the font stays around, but the support dictionary goes away. Has anyone (a) run into this problem, and (b) have a quick fix for it, before I go digging into the bowels of these fonts?
