I have looked at ymir and clarkson repositories where the file does not just jump out at me nor is it named something that would jump out. I have a user who need to have every 5th line numbered throughout a document with whatever the consecutive number for that line is. Is there anything available for this purpose? If so, please point me in the right direction and I will ftp and keep it somewhere safe this time? Thanks to all. BTW, Don you have a wonderful service at ymir. Being a person required to work on two VMS machines, 5 UNIX-flavored machines (different operating system versions), Macintoshes, and IBM PCs, I appreciate having a free service to retrieve info for all these machines.
