Message-ID: Date: 30 Jan 91 03:09:03 GMT Organization: ZOOiD BBS Lines: 22 I'd like to post some questions, please make the following assumptions: 1) I have no idea if this is the right conference, I didn't see a more specific one in my list 2) I'm sorry if this topic has already been discussed, I just started recieving this group. I am planning on purchasing Coherent Unix for a small non commerical BBS system with two lines. I have a 386 machine but I would rather run it on the 286 2MB machine I have. If anyone has any comments to make I'd appreciate it, besides "Get a real OS" or other such comments. This is going to be a free system, so I can't really justify purchasing SCO Xenix. I have heard about Minix and in fact had a copy of it once but I'm rather leery of it.. at the time (about 2 years ago) it had compatibility problems and was lacking several utilities such as uucp transfers. I understand that Coherent includes a uucp implementation, and at $100 it's a good deal. ZOOiD BBS - 416/322-7876
