I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's successfully set up modems to use
shared lines under Ultrix 4.0. I want to use kermit, tip and uucp in both
directions.

I've tried:
tty02   "/etc/getty std.9600" vt100 on shared modem           # smartmodem

but when I run tip, using this line, I get "all ports busy".

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
