Lines: 15 Hello Ultrix netland, I cannot figure out what is wrong with the lpd deamon. When rebooting the DS2100 under Ultrix 3.1d lpd starts ok but I cannot print to a remote printer. If I go to lpc and do a status of that printer everything seems ok except the deamon. The entry says "no deamon present". I try to start the printer and I get the message : deamon started but nothing happens. The printer is defined ok in the /etc/printcap and I cannot figure out why lpd cannot establish the connection. Any ideas I would really appreciate. What should be the real permissions of the /usr/lib/lpd ? Thanks in advance.
