I am using Ultrix 4.1, and Sun >4.0.3. Please learn how to use the 'Followup-To:' header. You aren't going to get a lot of answers to your questions if you make people responses bounce. In '.forward' in your home directory, you want: \me, myfriend@his.domain where of course you make the obvious interpretations. The '\' preceding your logon name prevents it from being recognized as you during '.forward' processing (it doesn't really loop anyway), but the quoting is removed later for finding your mailbox. Look at the man pages for 'vacation' for examples of how this is done. -- =*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*=*= Neil W.
