I know of at least one. The Jeruselem virus can make files give you an UAE 
message. It dosen't seem to be able to get at every type of file, although
it will become part of it. For example; I got the Jeru virus sonn after
getting Windows and it made the Write program disapper, while it left paint-
brush alone. Why the virus is selective in Windows i just don't know
