Message-ID: <1991Feb05.181032.21834@ariel.unm.edu> Date: 5 Feb 91 18:10:32 GMT Organization: University of New Mexico, Albuquerque NM Lines: 26 Hi! I recently mailed a query to someone in Hawaii who seemed to be quite knowledgeable about WFW. While his advice has helped somewhat, I would like to make the solution a bit tidier. Here's my dilemna: Our PC is used by two people, namely myself (Paul), and my girlfriend (Minna). About the only thing we use it for right now is word-processing with WFW. I would like a window to come up at the beginning of WFW which asks who the user is, and has two buttons -- one labelled Paul, the other Minna. The answer to this question would determine the AUTHOR, default directory, etc... Right now I have a window which pops up and asks you type in a response. While this works just fine, it'd be so much easier simply to be able to click on a button. I'm sure if I had the Technical Reference I could figure it out, but from what they gave us online, I just can't seem to get it to work. If anyone has hints/tips/ideas, or the pertinent pages of the manual to direct me to, please help me. I'll leave it to your discretion whether you post or mail directly to me. Thanks a lot, --Paul V.
