I realize that this isn't good X practice but I need very fast (30 frames/sec) animations. My window is 256x256x8. The data is actually coming from a board on the bus. Please respond if you have any fast animation experience with X. I don't think XPutImage is going to cut it. Especially since I'll have to form an XImage from the raw x,y,color data coming in from the board.
