I am thinking of something like the "aclock" utility program available for the DMD and MTG terminals, which among other things is an alarm clock and a terminal locking program. You can click on the face of the clock and be prompted for an alarm time. You can have several alarms, and associated text that will be displayed when an alarm goes off (e.g. "Eat lunch before the cafeteria closes!", or "Go Home! it's 2 a.m.!"). Clicking with a different button prompts you for a password and locks the terminal. I am surprised that the various clock programs I have seen for X do nothing but record the passage of time, since so many X programs are encrusted with layers and layers of features! (I know I could use "at" to start an "xmessage" window at a particular time, but I think an alarm clock would be much nicer.) -- ___ / __\ U N S H I N E DaviD W.
