Hi Bill, 
The disk drive will not allow you to run another program, but it will
provide extra storage space and it will ensure that info you collect will
be kept for you even if it is dropped from b and s.  In your line of work, 
it would be an excellent idea because you wouldn't have to dump it in your 
pc each time and wouldn't have to go to your pc to retreave it.  I
understand that the drive is compatable with pcs with the proper cablbles. 
 Haven't gotten envelope large enough for info I am sending will do so in
a day or so.
