Depending on the software you use, speech, in some form is available. For me, the speech either recites each block by number as it is downloaded, or there are clicks in the speaker which tells me that things are working ok. I use boyan 401, and most of the time i use zmodem for up and downloading. If this is not clear, let me know, and we can talk some more about it.
