There is just one problem with that, and that is, I am not perfect, and I make mistakes. I have been known to enter the wrong amount, and I have been known to forget to enter an entry at all. Then the amounts come in handy when you are trying to balance and unbalanced bank statement. Btw, if the amounts are wrong, then what's to say that the check numbers will be right.
