However, I usually recommend to a beginner that the may want to try an older version of FIDO BBS such as version 11W. It is easy enough to set up, provides net mail, and echo mail capacity, if you want to be FIDO NET compatable. Once you have your feet on the ground with the basics and are confortable with that system you can make a more intelligent decision about moving on to something more sophisticated, if you want more features, at a later date. If you decide you would like to give that system a try let me know and I can probably supply you with everything you would need to get started. If you have been on Maximus or Opus boards the FIDO menu system will look very similar and a conversion from FIDO to Opus or Max would not be extreemly difficult later.
