Let me jump in here if I may. Hi Tom, The two best I know of right now are 1) Texture 3.5 by Magnetic Music and 2) Sequencer Plus Gold by Voyetra. I find Texture a DARLING of an easy program to work with. It is very straight forward and intuitive. You talk to it using 2 or 3 letter commands such as "Go Beat number" or Copy Track, or Copy Pattern. The specific note editing can be a bit of a challenge for speech users like us, because they use a phantom cursor for that, but one can learn to deal with that too. In fairness, let me advise you that I've been using Texture for about 2 years and have thus habituated and internalized many of its functions, so it is very difficult to be objective about ease of use. At first, I STRUGGLED with it; but back then, I was learning to use the PC, MS-DOS, and Soft Vert, all at once! And getting used to the Soundingboard which by now is, of course, a piece of cake, but then was a bear! Within 3 weeks of purchasing and registring Sequencer Plus, Voyetra sent the manual on disk. They know what we need! I have not yet grown into Sequencer Plus, so I can't tell you much about how it is to use, but a blind, Japanese friend of mine, Yo Kano, has written sounders for radio using the older, copy protected version 3. So, that tells you something about its useability by blind folks. BRAVO VOYETRA!Hope this helps. jjcs -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!107!608!John.Sanfilippo Internet: John.Sanfilippo@f608.n107.z1.fidonet.org
