This past Thursday we had our technology fare here and Humanware is introducing a speech program that 1. reads directly from the vidio output thus programs in direct screenwrite talk toyou directly. 2. The tablet, a tactile screen display which allows the user to run his or her finger along thelines thus the speech system responds by reading the actual line. It really does give one a feel for where things are located on the screen. I should remember the name but I don't but when it is released it wil make some noise. The system tells you where windows are located on the screen . It also has many other options that I didn't have time to look at it. Oh yes, it does have several different speech modes so that you don't hear everything that is on the screen if it isn't necessary. For example when using Word Perfect with this sytem in smart mode it only reads the status line if when changes take place that the user would need to know. If you ever have a humanware representative in town, give it a look. Grant -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!381!9.0!Grant.Downey Internet: Grant.Downey@p0.f9.n381.z1.fidonet.org
