They are the rich, heavy variety... Coconut Macaroons 1 can Eagle Brand Dessert Maker (Sweetened Condensed Milk) 2 packages Coconut (about 6 cups) 2 tsp. Vanilla yes, that's it. Mix ingredients in a bowl, form into balls and put on a well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes. I usually bake them longer, since I like the carmelized flavor of the browned coconut on the bottom. These can also be turned into a very tasty Chocolate Macaroon by adding a few spoons full of Cocoa powder. Add to taste. Enjoy! Steve Otlowski (aiden@ncoast.org)
