Yes!

Let's keep sci.med.aids to medical issues.  A talk.politics.aids (or
alt.politics.aids?) newsgroup can be created for the political issues.

I realize that there are connections - the government research and
funding policies that support the medical research - but this is
peripheral to the actual medical issues (IMHO).

Medical ethics, on the other hand, crosses both the political and
medical side.
