I have been reading briefly about Hindu belief, and in a discussion
about the use of garlic and onions in cooking, the concepts of sattva,
rajas, and tamas was mentioned, in the context that garlic was a "tamas"
food.  I am wondering if anyone can give me a short description of the
concepts involved.
