This "feature" of elvis, along with a couple others, is one of the warts on elvis. The solution is to look for where your temp files are going and them remove "elv*". Does it slightly irritate anyone else that elvis, on ^D (ctrl-D), does not paint to the end of the line? Yucko when it's background is not your normal background color. A REAL irritation is that the RE that I use in searches ("/" or "?") is not known by ":g//p" or any other ":g//". This necessary behavior for compatibility with vi is missing. -- Fred Christiansen, Intel, JF1-67 503-696-4214 | fredch@starlite.hf.intel.com 5200 NE Elam Young Prkwy, Hillsboro, OR 97124 | uunet!intelhf!starlite!fredch Wisdom is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon it.
