Rename compress.exe to uncomp.exe, then do:  uncomp filename.ab   if the
name of the file is filename.abZ.  I can't remember if it will accept the
Z, but it does work without it.  Btw, tell whoever you got the gif's from
(if that is what they really are), they gif's use the same LZW compression
technique that compress uses, and you won't gain much (more likely lose) space
in the process.
