However, the return address in the requester's signature was

	ivo@gmdtub.uucp

rather than whatever strange thing appeared in the news header.  The
host 'gmdtub' is indeed UUCP mapped and reachable.

If you are trying to reach someone via mail and the first attempt fails,
it's a good idea to at least LOOK at the original request again and see
if alternate routings are possible, before giving up and broadcasting to
everyone on the planet.

I am posting this instead of mailing it, because the reminder is of
general scope.
