I am not sure this is the right place to look ask this but...
I am looking for Unix stile magic number info (I.E. just enough
header info to tell one file from another) for :
	P S
	d v i 
	g i f
	h p g l
	anything else you care to throw at me.

we already have loads of converters but nothing to save the printer
from bogus files.

also (yes I know this must be a FAQ, but I couldn't find the ANSWER in
the FAQ.)

If I am asking the wrong group, what is the right group?
