I got a great pointer to a great article on the matter (thanks Raymond!),
Dave Tutelman's 'Flicker Free' paper in pub/rjc/csip/flickerfree.Z at
math.princeton.edu for anyone else intersted.  The paper thoroughly
explains a method to do it...
