Note that current production PC/TCP allows the setting of the Precedence field on a per-PC basis (The API also allows it on a per-connection basis, but none of our applications set it). A separate configuration item allows the user to enable Precedence checking as defined in the Mil Std for TCP (1776?), so you can use it for either router traffic identification, or to let a general override the ranks, as it was originally designed to.
