I think that has a lot to do with Interlisp though, which was what LOOPS was written on top of. There was a company at one of the AI conferences that had a system very similar to LOOPS (Intelligenetics? It's been a long time since I've seen it). I believe the system ran on a Sun, and it also had rules combined with objects and active values. Does anyone know the system I'm referring to? Bob krovetz@cs.umass.edu
