N. C. at Wilmington, CS & Math Dept. Lines: 17 I am planning to purchase a HD soon and don't know ANYTHING about them. I was under the impression that I could purchase any harddrive until I was thumbing through the ads in a magazine devoted to IBM (-yuck). I am planning on partitioning half to the Amiga and the other to the IBM side. I was hoping that someone more learned than I could point me in the right direction. Am I limited to 'hard cards' of at most 20MB? (as the Sidecar manual suggests) I do not plan to store any great amounts on the drive, I hope to use it when compiling, or downloading files, etc. How much space would you recomment - 20, 40, 80, 120 etc etc What do the RLL, and all the other 'codes' mean? Is it assumed you have a bay to slip the drive into? How reliable is this hard drive set-up (Two brains - Zaphod Beeblebrox) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
