Message-ID: Date: 4 Feb 91 18:12:00 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 26 Date sent: 4-FEB-1991 11:07:15 With the new I/O board project in Amazing, it should be easy to have multiple serial ports. So soon a bunch of local Amiga owners will probably get together to play Empire. This isn't the game from Interstel with armies, but the FreRedis game where you run a little country. It allows local and/or dial-in play, but better yet, you can have multiple simultaneous players if you have multiple serial ports. However, to support dial-in play, it's ASCII based, and thus somewhat anti- Amiga-ish. The docs intimate that there are/were two different projects/ programs to provide a graphical front end. Does anyone know where I can get such a program? I'm not a regular reader, so if you could E-Mail the info. A BBS or FTP site would be ideal. Thanks in advance. Note: I do *not* know where to FTP Empire itself from. Don't ask me. :) Address of last resort (if those below don't work): howell%whitman.bitnet@cunyvm.cuny.edu (or other suitable gateway) | Dave Howell bix: dhowell | | User Support Specialist Bitnet: HOWELL@WHITMAN | | Whitman College Internet: howell@whitman.bitnet | | "Can I cook, or can't I?" - Carol Marcus, Star Trek II: Wrath of Kahn |
