I know that there is a problem with it 'trying' to DMA to fast mem (No can do on a 16-bit controller), so you need to make sure buffers and the like do not end up in 32-bit Memory (fastMem). I do the following: run nofastmem binddrivers dir dh0: And I get my DH0: partition (a 1 cylinder partition that just contains the mountlist of the rest of the drive). I then mount the following Device /* MountList entries for Rodime RO3055 (40 MB ST-506) Hard Disk */ MH0: Device = hddisk.device Unit = 1 Flags = 0 Surfaces = 6 BlocksPerTrack = 17 FileSystem = l:FastFileSystem Reserved = 2 LowCyl = 3 ; HighCyl = 869 Buffers = 50 GlobVec = -1 Mount = 1 Mask = 0x00fffffe BufMemType = 2 DosType=0x444F5301 # I then do a 'Dir mh0:' and it tells me that it "can't get information .. Not a filesystem device". I have tried without the Mask, I have tried with BufMemType = 0 (To 'allow' buffers in fast memory), and it always comes up the same problem.
