Well, does there exist any documentation at all on the internals of the
RAM drive?  Is somebody at CBM-Amiga willing to part with enough info
on this so that I can try to write a program that does this?  I realize that
these internals might change, but I can always check version #'s before
it attempts the repack.

Any docs, tech notes, or hints would be greatly appreciated.
