You have a little textfile in the auto-folder called OVERSCAN.INF with all the names of the programs in it, which don't like anything else than 640x400. If you start such a program, Overscan will switch the solution at first and the application is happy. No problems with any program I've tried so far. The most I use every day, support the higher solution of Overscan (as all well written GEM-application should do).
