GNU tar has been ported, and i think it is available at terminator. if
not, i can mail it to you. it works well (fully compatible with "file"
tars under unix, both directions). i believe it was posted, so it may
be in the Binaries/Sources directories, if not in utilities. you may
also try panarthea (comp.{sources,binaries}.atari.st archives).
