Message-ID: <23148@netcom.COM> Date: 8 Feb 91 01:04:03 GMT Organization: Netcom - Online Communication Services UNIX System {408 241-9760 guest} Lines: 19 I am somewhat new to the Atari - we are moving our development system from a 1040ST to a top-of-the-line TT and having problems. 1) We use kermit to transfer files between all ~5 OS's in-house. However, the Atari kermit program refuses to receive any file with 8-bit characters in it. Text files in Image mode work; but 8-bit characters cause failure in any mode. 2) We use Mark Williams C for our product, yet the debugger "db" doesn't work on the TOS version on the TT. Mark Williams Co. said that Atari hasn't provided them with some necesssary files, and they don't have the programmers to update their product anyway. Where can I get a new kermit? (The one we have is from 1985) What is a real compiler that works on the TT? (We need real support) no, I don't have ftp access. thanx in advance for help. -------------- Ben @ Versasoft, San Jose, the LA of northern California.
