Last time I looked, Novaterm 9.1 crashed and burned everytime the host sent
a standard VT100 clear screen sequence (ESC [ H ESC [ J). Perhaps this has
been fixed recently, but if not, this explains why it can't clear the screen.
In general, in fact, it's VT100 emulation is inaccurate which is why I don't
use it.
