HPIL printers, disk drives, displays, and Interloops own stepper motor controller and I/O interface are supported. Those unfamilliar with HPIL should note that HPIL devices are connected in a loop, so only one port is needed for up to dozens of devices without A/B switches or the like. HPIL cables are much less expensive than other cables and there is no DCE, DTE, or handshake lines/protocols to worry about and transfer rates are up to several thousand BYTES per second. EduCalc will be carrying this product. For information on the Interloop model #170 HPIL adapter for the Atari Portfolio, contact: Interloop 706 Charcot Av San Jose, CA 95131 USA (408) 922-0520 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Disclaimer: I am not a Portfolio user and I have no affiliation with Interloop. I do know members of the design team. I have seen prototypes and the finished product in action at our local handheld user group meetings. John Serafin jpser@cup.portal.com
