Summary: What is the address/mask for IR output and where can I ftp Voyager? Keywords: IR output, hardware, HP48sx, ftp, help Message-ID: <1991Feb6.200050.18632@i88.isc.com> Date: 6 Feb 91 20:00:50 GMT Sender: usenet@i88.isc.com (Usenet News) Organization: INTERACTIVE Systems Corporation, Naperville, IL Lines: 22 I didn't get any response to my query about work in progress on the learning remote idea. I guess I will continue to try to learn enough to do it myself. I need to know how to turn the modulated IR output on and off and I can't find this info in any of the HW or internals notes I have saved from the net. Can someone PLEASE tell me the address used for output and anything else that is known about the IR transmitter? For example, is it safe to leave it sending for short periods of time, or am I in danger of burning a driver or the IR LED out in my experiments as some have suggested? Before I started thinking about this problem, I thought I saw an ftp address for Voyager. I didn't save it, but now I see that I might need to understand parts of the rom to figure out how to manipulate the IR I/O system. Where can I get Voyager? Will it help me learn what I need? Thanks for your help. --Brad Bosch brad@i88.isc.com laidbak!brad
