Message-ID: <1991Feb8.133803.46834@cc.usu.edu> Date: 8 Feb 91 19:38:02 GMT Lines: 19 When I bought my HP-48, I was hoping to be able to use it to control SDI-12 instrumentation. SDI-12 is a 1200 baud standard for things like intelligent voltmeters, pressure transducers, etc. I've got a box that converts RS232 to SDI-12, but the timing of the RPL UART interface is such that I can't use the calculator for this; SDI-12 instruments detect the end of a frame by the time between characters and the HP-48 sends a string out two characters at a time with a big space between. So, does anybody know how the UART works at the ML level so that I can play with it that way or do I get to disassemble the code and figure it out for myself? -- =============================================================================== Roger Ivie 35 S 300 W Logan, Ut. 84321 (801) 752-8633 ===============================================================================
