Just a little question - what makes you thinking that HP-48 is a techie machine. There are wonderful phone-books and general data bases for it (and they are free). Not to mention that its unit conversion system can be used for currency exchange list. For the past several months I'v shown my HP-48 to many pople and only about half of them are programmers or engineers. All of them ended up loving this little machine (especially when I showed them Tetris :-) ). I'm not trying to bring up any loooooong discussion about HP-48 v. all others I'm just interested in what gave you the impression that HP-48 is techie-only machine ?
