The contoller itself is a clone. It was bought with an Everex disk drive 20Mg about 8 years ago. I have no idea what the brand or type of controller it is. My question is this: If I want to get a larger drive, and add it to the system, do I need to buy a new contoller? The controller is a two drive contoller, and is full sized I do know that much :-) I also know that if I want to reformat the hard disk then I need the IBM diagnostic disk that came with the machine. (I belive this means that there is no BIOS on the board) If I don't, need a new contoller, how do I add it to the system ie do I just plug it in and format it? If it is a fast drive, will it be supported? If I do replace the contoller, then will I have to re-format the current disk? Thanks in advance, Paul PS Is anyone geting this? My last few posts have gone into lala land :-)
