I use high byte floppies for HD all the time. In fact, I don't mind switching those little 3.5 disks anyway. As long as the disk drive is 60us or so access time, I don't mind at all. Bear in mind that I don't usually load more than 640K in my computer. So maybe this is why it doesn't bother me.
