WHAT?!??! Message-ID: <8926@sail.LABS.TEK.COM> Date: 7 Feb 91 22:54:11 GMT Sender: root@sail.LABS.TEK.COM Reply-To: mhorne%ka7axd.TV.TEK.COM@relay.cs.net (Mike Horne) Followup-To: comp.sys.ibm.pc.misc Organization: Television Systems Division, Tektronix, Inc. Lines: 17 Unexpected SW interrupt 06 at 1E9C:08E7. Type (R)eboot, other keys to continue I've recently encountered this error message when running certain software. Could some brave soul in-the-know tell me what software vector 6 is typically used for? This error message came from deep within the bowels of the BIOS, which implies that my software is trying to execute a software interrupt (number 6, to be exact) that isn't initialized to point to any routine (other than the catch-all BIOS bomb vector). Please e-mail as soon as possible (I'm not monitoring this newsgroup). Thanks in advance!!! Mike mhorne@ka7axd.tv.tek.com ...!tektronix!mhorne%ka7axd.tv.tek.com
