It's performance is quite nice (running over Ethernet to a MIPS Magnum server is just about as fast as running off of my local SCSI disk...). It also interoperates with the Cayman GatorBox, which is a definite plus in our environment. It means we can mount the same file systems either through GatorShare or directly via NFS.
