Davis - Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Lines: 19 I'm looking for some recommendations for the upgrade of a 512K Mac to a Plus...i need information on prices/addresses/etc.... i believe such an upgrade includes 512k more ram, 128k roms, scsi port, and 800k drive the cheapest i have come by so far is $599 for a daughterboard that must be installed by the user...does anyone know about such boards...apparently if your cpu is ceramic (purple) then soldering is required...but if your cpu is plastic (black) then the board snaps on...how do u install the 800k drive?...has anyone done this before? ...anyone help? also, is it just cheaper to buy a plus?...i really would rather upgrade if i can find a price better than $599.... console cowboy
