Then I bought DoveFax, which comes with its own proprietary software. Their software was not just better, it was delightful. Night and day. The modem hardware seems fine, too. No streaks in the received faxes like I often had on the Orchid fax, even on calls from across the street. Also, soon the DoveFax will be available with a $100 upgrade that's supposed to do voicemail of some sort. Sounds interesting, and I bet the software will be pretty good. --dave yost
