This is probably a FAQ, but I haven't seen it answered anywhere
lately. I'm in the market for a Mac system, probably a Classic with
2+M RAM and a 40M HD or greater. There are several mail order
advertisers in MW and MU with some good prices.

Now the question(s):

* Where is a good place to shop by mail and, briefly, why?

* What precautions should I take, following the principle "caveat
  emptor"?
