Distribution: na Organization: Weeg Computing Center, University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, USA Lines: 18 Net/MacLand: I need information concerning the pinout of the Mac Sound chip. I am interested in utilizing the four voices as four individual D/A converters, and this cannot be done without at least a couple hints. Sound signals from the chip are, I believe, encoded by one data line (monophonic,) while four voices can go into this monophonic output. I'd like a way to access those four voices (electronically), but this requires more info on the sound chip itself, and the SY6522 chip (the Synertek _Versatile Interface Adapter_ or _VIA_ chip.) Information or pointers towards information much appreciated. James Carroll JCarroll@Vaxa.Weeg.UIowa.Edu Disclaimer: Your disk is lamer than my disk. Nya-nya-nya.
